frost killing hour

sometimes you get an idea that will not go away. despite work and long hours and everything else. i am so lucky to have an outlet for these ideas - thanks for looking. sorry it has been a while.

I'm the slow dying flower
In the frost killing hour
Sweet turning sour and untouchable
Oh, I need the darkness
The sweetness
The sadness
The weakness
Oh, I need this
I need a lullaby
A kiss good night
Angel sweet love of my life
Oh, I need this

inspiration comes in many forms. sometimes it is a late night of work with that right tune and lyric at the right moment (thank you Natalie, you are a true genius). there is more to come when it stops thundering here,,,

You're a man of atmospherics, I always imagine you live on a misty, mysterious moor. The scratched-out trees and subdued rainbow palette (which you made work, and I can't do it) of the second one seem to most evoke Ms. Merchant's paean for me.
How about something again - before Feb. 2!

i do live in a misty forest on top of a mountain. so that makes sense i think.

i would gladly trade my secrets to making this subdued rainbow palette work with you - if you would trade me some of your secrets in return.

this must be done in some sort of workshop format somewhere. thank you for pointing out my recent lack of production - i do get what you are saying.

thank you Nick for being the first to respond, to taking the time to understand the musical "esoterica" i throw out there and for being an all around good guy...

Joel, thank you for sharing these beautiful works after a long silence.
The words harmonise with your pieces, they are so simple yet are able to carry such emotion accompanied by this truly beautiful lyric My Skin by Natalie Merchant
”inspiration comes in many forms. sometimes it is a late night of work with that right tune and lyric at the right moment.” I hear you Joel.
Looking forward to the rainbow!
